Current work calls into question connections and/or disconnections humans have to the environment as we teeter on the verge of known and unknown consequences.
Field
The Field project provides viewers with a momentary glimpse into nature's beauty and complexities both seen and unseen to the naked eye through wild flowers as commonly found in a field of native grasses alongside many roadsides - an environment that supports an entire Eco-system invisible to those passing by in their air-conditioned gas-guzzling SUVs. The work references: everyday natural wonder, beauty outside of our immediate realm of vision, gratitude.
Boomerang
Work in this ongoing series extends my contemplation about consumption, trash and the relationship to our human footprint on both the planet and extended earth's lower orbit (LEO), human dominance over nature in pursuit of excess and profit, the known consequences of consumptive behaviour on climate change. While feeding our insatiable and addictive desires in search of 'more', there is a disconnect as to how this will all come back to haunt us.
Interventions
Our very survival is dependent upon the health of the environment yet we live in a world where greed compromises the very existence of our planet... where trees are more valuable dead than alive. This ongoing body of lens-based work is a visual narrative on the symbiosis between man and nature, interventions and tensions, environmental stewardship.
