“We need to take all heavy industry, all polluting industry and move it into space and keep earth as this beautiful gem of a planet that it is.”  Jeff Bezos (July 2021 NBC News). This would of course be in addition to the estimated 30,000 pieces of space junk already whirling above us in earth’s low orbit, many of which are considered large enough and moving fast enough to be a potential disaster.

Description: This lens-based artwork extends my contemplation about trash, our human footprint, the colonization of space, further environmental exploitation for financial gain, the already existing space trash related to human activity, stewardship of our planet and surrounding environment, and the connectedness of everything from here to there.
