Gaia's Garden II

Folio of assemblages that combine floral imagery taken in situ with adapted scanning electron microscopic images (SEM’s) of same flowers by Erwin Huebner, cell biologist and visual artist. Within the context of this series digitally manipulated and combined sets of imagery create a singular composition.Viewers are invited to consider physical attributes inherent to the composition of each flower, from both an external and internal cellular perspective. The work speaks to the complexity of life forms that exist all around us visible and invisible to the naked eye.

All microscopic imaging derived from original Scanning Electron Microscopic Imaging by Erwin Huebner, cell biologist and visual artist erwinhuebner.com
