Gaia's Garden
This folio of imagery represents a cross-pollinization of nature, science and art. I digitally combine and blend my imaginings and photographic images of wild flora with Scanning Electron Microscope images (SEM's) of same floral specimens created by cell biologist/visual artist Erwin Huebner. The resulting ethereal compositions abstractly reveal nature’s profoundly captivating complexities both seen and unseen to the naked eye.
The work personifies nature’s ever-changing yet ubiquitous presence in our lives be that in small or monumental ways - from dandelions that persistently surface in a crack of concrete to fires, flooding and storms calling upon the reinvention of the human spirit.
