Remains of the Day
This body of work explored the fragility of the moment. It intended to serve as a platform from which to contemplate the future and what will remain after all is said and done... or undone.
Metaphorically referencing historical tintypes which provided clues of life in former times, onto large galvanized panels, I embedded digital, photographic imagery between layers of lacquers, shellacs, stains, pigments and/or rust fragments. Illustrative imagery intends to stimulate dialogue on diverse topics that raise questions about life today... amongst others... from hunger to extinction.
