Boomerang

This ongoing body of work is a visual narrative on the interface between man and nature. It involves images taken in the Fraser Valley British Columbia - that have been digitally altered, manipulated, layered and/or merged with the intention of stimulating viewer dialogue. Scale is of importance in the work as it provides the viewer with an inherently closer opportunity for engagement with the conceptual intent.

Our very survival is dependent upon the health of the environment yet we live in a world where greed compromises the very existence of our planet... where trees are more valuable dead than alive. An omnipresent yet constantly changing mound of waste at the local landfill leaves me trying to visualize, the ‘five’ billion pounds of Amazon product returns that end up in the global landfill every single year. While feeding our insatiable rate of consumption there is a disconnect as to how it will come back to haunt us.
